A legal document where a person (the Donor) gives power to an Attorney (a lay person or a professional) to act for them on their financial affairs and which endures the Donor subsequently losing their mental capacity.

The Attorney’s power lapses on death and all rights over the Estate of the deceased Donor then pass to the Executor/Administrator.
