Self Employed

Someone the Inland Revenue regards as ‘working for themselves’ either as a Sole Trader or as a partner in a Partnership, and taxed as such. They are still expected to produce a statement of account, computing their net earnings and may have an accountant helping them. Such a statement of account will have to be produced up to the date of death, even if the usual date of the accounts is different.
